Wedding Elopement at didsbury parsonage gardens
Theme
The theme was ‘Dark Autumnal’. I was so thrilled to be chosen to make the stationery for this theme. I instantly fell in love when I saw the mood board and concept. For this setting, I wanted to bring in the feeling of luxury, with the gold typography & velvet silk burnt orange ribbons, to deep rich colours of the green and red tones.
lead up & prep
For me, this was such an amazing opportunity to explore blending my modern vintage style into such a unique colour scheme. We discussed colours, tones, accents & complimentary colours that could be used. Rust came up as a favourite, combining the autumnal dark tones of the theme & the richness of the vintage era.
On the Day
The day was set in Autumn, but as you may know, the UK weather person LOVES to throw in a few showers or seven! Despite that, the wonderful photographer Claire at Kiss the Bride Photography, captured the warmth of Autumn throughout. She took full advantage of the lighting that this time of year provides, & the beautiful grounds of the Gardens that had a beautiful blanket of fallen leaves.
Stationery
Menus, place cards, invitations & Vow Books. All of my most favourite pieces to have at any wedding. The Rust silk ribbon, wax seals & deckled edges gave it that vintage eliment, complimented the modern feel of the acrylic painted place cards & printed text.
